gardens.
I adore flowers, I always ALWAYS have. I paint them, I notice them, I want to crawl into them, I love the fragrances of them, the colors of them. I just Adore Flowers
I bought this daylily blooming last summer and set around my yard for a few days. You know to get the feel of where it wants to be. Always somewhere I can see from one of my windows (Preferably the long, floor to ceiling Pella south-east window). And the light through it as the sun was setting told me that this was the spot. And this is the morning light through here in these shots.
If anyone can think of a perfect quote to add to this, I would love to know.
Do you or have you ever seen these? They are just so lovely and elegant.
These are the beautiful seeds/babies of these winding, curvy bright green onions. They are like big hollow chives but way cooler. I have some other photos of these I’ll have to dig out.
I’m not positive what these are called but I love them. They always remind me of a dear friend I use to know. Her name is Chris and we met in a watercolour painting class together back in 1984. We use to go draw and paint together. Fast friends right from the start and we both knew it instantly. (Chris B I hope you are reading this and know it’s me).
For some reason in my early 20’s I didn’t think I liked hollyhocks, have no real recollection of why-not. anyway…. I so love mine. I’ve been trying for years to grow these wonderful graceful, bright, beautiful flowers. I’ve have finally succeeded with this amazing bright pink one.
my newest bed this year. California Poppies are one of very, very favorite flower and it’s another I’ve tried for years to grow up here at 8000 ft, dry high plateau garden. This one’s getting the rain from the gutters and in almost full sun
I never knew about this bush until I came to New Mexico and I went on a tile job with my honey. This client of Len’s had these hugh glowing purple bushes in the middle of the summer growing all over his property. And I feel in love again (seems I love lots of flowers) Hummingbirds were everywhere all over it.
My girlfriend Peggy sold me this one when she ran the Garden Center in Taos. She knows so much and just amazes me with all the info she has about flowers, plants and design stored in her wonderful brain.
That was all this morning and these below are as the sun was going down.
Peace n Abundance,
